Privacy Policy
Motorii is built to give you a second opinion on your car's trouble without asking for an account, tracking you, or selling your data. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why, and where it goes.
What we collect
- Vehicle details you enter: make, model, year, engine, and optional mileage.
- Your problem description: the text you type describing what's wrong.
- Photos you attach: optional — e.g. a dashboard warning light or a photo of a part.
- Language preference: the device language, used to respond in the same language.
We do not collect:
- Your name, email, phone number, or any other personal identifier.
- Device identifiers (IDFA, IDFV, MAC address) or location data.
- Contacts, calendar, microphone, or camera data beyond the photo you explicitly attach.
- Third-party analytics. No Google Analytics, no Facebook SDK, no ad networks.
Where it goes
When you request a diagnosis, your vehicle details, description, and any attached photo are sent over HTTPS to api.motorii.app, our server. The server forwards the request to the AI provider that generates the diagnosis, receives the response, and returns it to your device.
No human at Motorii reads your descriptions or photos. No third party receives your data except the AI provider used to generate the diagnosis, which processes it only to produce that specific response.
How long it's kept
Diagnosis responses are cached briefly on our server (no more than 24 hours) to avoid duplicate charges if the app retries a request. After that window, the request and response are deleted. Your photos are never retained beyond the duration of the single request that used them.
Your vehicles and diagnosis history live on your phone only. Deleting the app deletes them.
What we never do
- Train AI models on your data.
- Sell, rent, or share your data for marketing.
- Show ads.
- Track you across apps or websites.
- Profile you.
Children
Motorii is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone we could identify as a child.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change what we collect or how we use it, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be highlighted on the landing page for at least 30 days.
